Words To Live By : “It’s okay to be a glowstick ; sometimes we need to break before we shine “. I like the idea of starting every blog post out with an inspirational quote. Something to live by for the week , I positive thought to get us through the day , Or at least a topic to think about. This month I have had a case of SPRING FEVER !!!! And it seems that Ipsy agrees. This month I have been in to apricot everything! I am in love with this new trend for spring. Mix it with last years Mint and it is a match made in heaven. I was soo excited to receive my first Ipsy bag this March! I have heard many great things from other beauty gurus and I finally got around to getting my hands on a monthly subscription. Let me be honest in saying if I had the money to try as much makeup as I wanted I would probably need a whole apartment to hold it all! Which is why I love the idea of Ipsy. They send 5 deluxe samples to your door every month for 10$ a month!!!!! It is a great way to try new products for cheap and decide what is a good idea to splurge on and what is not going to work for you. The BREAK DOWN of the BAG. The whole thing is packaged in this adorable hot pink envelope. I love how it gives it an extra touch of glam and makes the package feel even more special! When first opening you receive seeing a card explaining the theme of the month.
Every Ipsy package comes in its own makeup travel bag! After a year of this subscription I’m going to have a ton of these things lol!
Crown Brush: The product that stood out to me the most was the AC012 shadow/crease duet brush by Crown. This brush is perfect to take on the go! It is so soft and blends everything out perfectly This is my first experience with crown brushes but so far I am in LOVE!!! This lovely brush retails for $6.99 on the crown website.
NYX Butter Lipstick: I am a giant fan of NYX lipsticks! They are so pigmented and cream and affordable! The one I received is shade Little Susie it is a beautiful bright pink, with coral undertones. A perfect spring shade ! It retails for $ 6.00 on ulta.com
PIXI Eyeshadow Cube : I have never played around with Pixi shadows before, I have seen them at target time and time again, but I never bit the bullet. That will be changing very soon! We fell in love at first swatch! Creamy pigmented and they last all day! Sounds fantastic to me! The cube that I was given was apricot glow. It contains beautiful copper and bronze shades. As Far as retail value goes, I have only found it on ebay for $0.99.
Leeanni ECO: It is described as healthy food for your skin. It is a two in one moisturizer and toner serum. It is Gluten free, Vegan and not tested on animals! I am so so about this product. I think the I will stick with my purity for now, but I am always open to trying new things. I do however like using this to sheer our my foundation. But not as a moisturizing toner. It retails at $30.00 for 2 oz which is rather up there in cost. It can be found at Leeanni.com
Pur-lisse: Gentle soy milk cleanser and makeup remover. I am a giant fan of soy cleansers and this one does a pretty decent job to get rid of those tough makeup stains. However it have a rather peculiar scent. For now I think I will stick with my fresh soy cleanser. However if you can get over the funky smell, this product is a winner.
